Broadway Font - Included in zip file :)
Unzip all your materials into a folder for your tutorials, or where you normally keep your tag tutorials. You can download the font into your Windows Folder/Fonts or keep it in a seperate folder and just open it, then minimize it for when you want to use it. Paint Shop Pro automatically picks up the font for you to use.
Let's start by opening a new image size 350 x 300. Grab your Paint Can and fill this layer with White. Most of the following illustrations will have been resized for easier loading but the end product is the size of the finished article.
Now open your angelina tube, copy it (Edit/Copy then Edit/Paste/New Image) and close the original. That way if you make any irrepairable mistakes you will still have the original to fall back on :) Add as a new layer to your blank image, then move it over to the left slightly as the following illustrations shows:
Rename the layer Angelina. We'll now add a drop shadow to our image. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use these following settings:
Now open your angelina pattern. Once opened Paint Shop Pro will automatically pick up the image in your patterns pallette. Set your Foreground colour to #EE0300 and the pattern as the background, size 100.
We will use this pattern to fill our text.
Now open your Broadway font, click on your Text Tool and use size '48' with 'Vector' checked and the stroke open and type the name or text you are using. I am using my name :P. Using the nodes (see below) pull the text up and out so it looks similar to mine. Right click on this layer in your layer pallette and convert to raster layer then rename this layer Text.
Now go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and use these settings
Now add a drop shadow using the same settings as before.
Now right click on your angelina1 layer and click duplicate TWICE then rename the first duplicate layer angelina2. Then the 2nd dupplicate angelina3.
Hide angelina 1 and angelina 3 and activate angelina 2. Zoom right in on the mouth of the angelina, then grab your clone tool. and use these settings:
Right click just to the left of the mouth on the skintones, then left click to clone the colour over the mouth. Do the same on the other side. I then took the 'softener/retouch tool' and softened the jagged edges until the images' lips looked like this:
This is where the 'undo' function comes in VERY handy lol, because if you're not happy with the result, just undo and clone it again.
Now make sure angelina1 and 2 are hidden and activate angelina3. Again zoom right in and using the clone tool make the lips even smaller. It should look similar to the image below :)
Now make sure angelina 2 and 3 are hidden and angelina 1 is the active layer
Open the heart tube and add as new layer. Name this layer heart3. Use the same drop shadow settings as before but change the colour to red (#FF0000). Move this heart to the top right hand side of angelinas' hair and a little way to the right as below:
Duplicate the heart layer and rename heart 2. Activate heart2 and resize the heart by 75%. Now duplicate heart2 and rename it heart1. Resize heart1 by 75%.
Now activate angelina2 and heart2, text and bgrd. Make sure all the other layers are hidden.
Move this into place just below Heart 3 and slightly to the right as below:
Now activate angelina 3 and heart 3 and place it close to the lips like below:
OK, now the exciting bit, lol! Now let's open Paint Shop Pro's Animation Shop (File/Jasc Software Products/Animation Shop). If you want to, you can save each image we are going to import into Animation Shop so that you can do it again later then please do but I find it so much easier this way :P
Hide all the layers except text, bgrd (white) and angelina1 like below. Leave the bgrd and text open throughout the rest of copying:
Now right click on the image bar and click copy merged. Go over to your Animation Shop and copy as new image. Go back to PSP and hide angelina 1 and activate angelina 2. Again click copy merged and go back to Animation Shop. Click on the first image and paste after current frame. Click your 2nd frame so that the outside is blue - this makes that frame active.
Now go back to PSP and hide angelina 2 and activate angelina 3. Copy merged and paste it in Animation Shop after the current frame. You should now have 3 images with the mouth going from normal to a pucker up, lol! See below:
Ok, back to PSP. Now activate Text, Heart1, angelina3 and bgrd. Make sure all others are hidden. Copy merged and go back to Animation shop and paste after current frame.
Ok, back to PSP. Keep the text and bgrd active. Now activate heart2 and angelina2. Make sure all the other layers are hidden. Copy merged and go back to your Animation Shop. Make sure the last layer is active and paste after current frame. You should now have 5 frames :)
Back to PSP and keep your bgrd and text active. Activate angelina1 and heart 3. Make sure all other layers are hidden. Copy merged and go back to Animation Shop. Make sure your 5th frame is active (just click on it) and paste after current frame. We are almost done, lol!
Go back to PSP and keep your text, angelina1 and bgrd activated. Hide all other layers. Copy merged then back to Animation Shop and paste after your last frame. This is where you can click the little icon at the top right hand side of your Animation Shop Menu and preview what your animation will look like:)
Click on the first frame to highlight it. Go to Animation/ Frame Properties and change speed of this frame to 30. If you'd like your animation to be slower then just 'up' the number and then test it through your preview button. Once you are happy with it we can now save it.
Go to File/Optimization Wizard. Keep the default settings to save your animation and Voila you have a lovely Angelina Kissing Signature Tag as below:
and use these settings:
and softened the jagged edges until the images' lips looked like this:
because if you're not happy with the result, just undo and clone it again.
and preview what your animation will look like:)
